While it is a good idea not to have any “electrical field” or “electrically generated magnetic field” near any sleeping areas.

There is often a case when this rule has to be broken, for one reason or another. In which case a braided or shielded power cables should be more commonly available, (not to forget braided or shielded multiple outlet power boxes).
