I am introducing this subject here after hearing of someone else with both electrosensitivity and ME.
A small study by Roger Coghill of Coghill laboratories, found an unexpected correlation between the two conditions. The correlations centred around the type of locations in which we live, and the areas which had 57% of ME sufferers, were also where the highest electrical fields from street wiring, was found. Those areas however are going to house fewer people than the remaining areas do.
I will try to get back to you with the link later, in case you have not been able to locate the research paper. Please accept though, that it was a small study and so, although startling in its unexpected findings, is not yet conclusive. No one as far as I know has taken this on and conducted a larger study yet. However we can always possibly gather some data amongst ourselves, as to whether we fit inside the statistics or outside? I am well inside this statistic, so the findings of the study need to be considered by me at least.
It is all likely to turn out be be complex in its connections, as ME starts out usually with a run down immune system which is then massively overstretched by modern day stresses, so causing a series of viral infections before the body`s systems collapse. This is the scenario that most ME people recognise, with some having sudden onset, and another group which has a more gradual onset.
To have electro sensitivity as well as this severe ME exhaustion is one very big deal. The study by Roger Coghill is of interest, but it is not understood yet if it is relevant or what the connection might be? I do rather think however that there is a link. A delightful little book called ” Living without Electricity” features the lives and energy creating methods of the Amish in America. The fact that they suffer few of our modern illnesses, matches the similar profile historically of the rest of us, prior to general electrification. : )

At last I have found my own thread!

I was going to post a video link under this heading, for anyone who has an interest in long term illness and a possible link to EMFs.

As a result of not finding this thread ( due to my ME ) I created a new category, if it is acceptable ? I posted the video under ” Video suggestions “.

It features an MD, who has researched the EMFs and effects on certain long term illnesses. Because he was able to reverse the effects by removal from EM fields, he is sure that there is a link, the problem being, so far, that his test samples are still too small by mainstream research standards. I think it helpful to have medical viewpoints : )

The idea of the forum categories is to make it easier for people to find what they’re looking fo, so don’t worry too much about this. I saw your posting of the Klinghardt video in the other section of the forum…Dr Klinghardt is one of the few physicians who is joining the dots on EMFs and health he’s done some good work on autism and EMFs.

WinkIt makes my fibro symptoms worse. Anything that screws up sleep the way high emfs do makes the exhaustion diseases worse. I have had people tell me that their fibro was cured for time periods that they could avoid EMFs. It returned with the new technologies. Glad this Dr.. has come forward to help.
