I have a small earthing pad which I have been using under my feet while sitting at my desk in my home office. But after reading Lloyd’s advice to ground office equipment instead of my body, due to the possibility I could be increasing my EMF field otherwise, I’m wondering if that means I should be putting the earthing pad under my laptop or external keyboard instead? I live in the US and when my laptop is plugged in, it uses a 3 prong grounded plug. But I recently started unplugging my laptop to reduce it’s EMF field. Now I’m just looking for tips about how to further ground my work environment.

Hi Sara. Welcome to the forum. I hope you get some helpful answers to your question. Here’s my take on laptop earthing – based on experience and a limited understanding of the science behind it all. There’s also more information on the main site here.
I don’t think putting the pad under the laptop will help unless there is exposed metal on the base of the laptop. The laptop chassis needs to be connected to the ground – there’s a brief discussion (including a comment from me) at the end of the comments on this page https://www.electricsense.com/1…..radiation/.
I earth my laptop and also myself (bare feet on ceramic tiles in summer – an earthing strap in winter). I find it helps a lot. Work on the computer is less tiring and stressful. At one point earthing the computer gave me relief from anxiety and PTSD symptoms.
I wouldn’t necessarily assume that because you have a 3-pronged plug the laptop is necessarily grounded – the earth prong might not be connected to anything. Maybe this is different in the US.
Running the laptop off the battery would help reduce the EMF’s, if this is practical.
