I’m a health care provider and doing amateur EMR auditing and shielding.
Having read many books on EMF and having done a course on mitigation, I’m still not comfortable with the need of GROUNDING the shielding Curtain or Paint ? Safety wise, I can appreciate the reason …. but for RF shielding to work without any other harm whatsoever of it getting charged and behaving as antenna is what makes me confused !
Any physics expert or building biologist around for some expert opinion please ?
Secondly, if at all this risk of getting charged and antenna concept works, this should also hold true for fabric used in garments ( Pregnancy wears) and even canopies ?!?

Hello emf.safenviron and welcome to the forum – belatedly due to technical problems. Having listened to and read many experts discussing this I agree that it is potentially confusing. So I hope someone with expert knowledge will be able to clarify this. This is discussed in some of the interviews in Lloyd’s archive (see main site). I have not paid close attention to it because the shielding I use is a bed canopy, and my RF meter tells me that it is effective. I usually cut the power in the bedroom so there are no power-frequency fields. The bed canopy is not grounded, which I think is OK for RF shielding. There may be more info on the main site under shielding/screening.
