I saw this in an advertisement and because my Internet speeds are much slower than the ISP advertises, I looked into it. It looks promising for increasing speed, but do you know if it is safe? The web site is:

Hi bobgeo, and welcome to the forum. I’m not familiar with this particular device but here are some general comments to think about.
Whether the device is ‘safe’ or not probably depends on whether you think wifi is ‘safe’. There are two (or more) issues here – do you feel any ill-effects from your existing wifi exposure, and are you aware of the scientific and medical literature showing that biological harm may occur even if we do not feel any effects? As you are already using wifi I presume you are not too concerned about your current level of exposure. Clearly the device will increase the signal strength in some areas, and this is one parameter which may affect safety, though it is not the only one. Other parameters will not be affected, eg the frequency, and content of the signal which affects the modulation (or pulsing), which some scientists believe is a crucial factor in the biological impact of any wireless signal. Here is a link to one very distinguished scientist’s view on wifi safety.…..d/29573716 – others disagree.
There is probably more info on the main site here about wifi, effects and safety.

Thanks, Peter, for the great info. I just read more on the site how WiFi affects 10% strongly, like it does my wife, and the rest of us suffer “manageably” in the short term, not thinking of the long term. I think I have my answer.
