BioInitiative Report on Electromagnetic Field EMF Dangers

The BioInitiative Report is the single most important report published to date on the dangers of EMFs (updated in 2012 see below).

What Are The Objectives of the BioInitiative Report?

The Bio Initiative Report’s objective is to establish a “Rationale for a Biologically-based Public Exposure Standard for Electromagnetic Fields (ELF and RF)” it is about producing a benchmark for good science and public health policy planning.

1. to focus on the science, to highlight the studies that people need to be made aware of

2. to talk about what kind of precautionary actions countries are taking around the world.

Essentially it’s about alerting the decision makers in the world, so that the science can be translated into good public health policy.

How Does The BioInitiative Report Set About Achieving These Objectives?

Bioinitiative reportThe 2007 BioInitiative Working Group reviewed 30 years of scientific studies documenting bio-effects and adverse health effects from EMF exposures. It documents the adverse health effects and public health conclusions about the impact of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) including extremely-low frequency (ELFs) and radiofrequency (RF) or microwave radiation.

What Did The 2007 BioInitiative Working Group Do?

It was a group of 14 independent scientists, researchers, and public health policy makers that looked at more than 2,000 peer reviewed studies. That’s to say published science, including studies on brain tumors, Alzheimers, breast cancer, and the effects on the immune system. It looked at the growing number of electrically sensitive, those people that are hypersensitive to EMF exposures.

What Are The BioInitiative Reports Recommended Safe Limits For Radiation?

For ELFs ( low frequency EMFs) the BioInitiative Report recommends 1milliGauss (0.1 microTesla) planning limit for habitable space adjacent to all new or upgraded power lines and a 2 mG (0.2 μT) limit for all other new constructions. It is also recommends that a 1 mG (0.1μT) limit be established for existing habitable space for children and/or women who are pregnant (because of the possible link between childhood leukemia and in utero exposure to ELF).

For RF radiation the Bioinitiative report recommends a limit of 0.1 μW/cm2 ( 0.61 Volts/meter) for outdoor exposure and a limit of 0.01 μW/cm2 ( 0.19 Volts/meter) for indoor exposure.

What Is The Big Question That The BioInitiative Report Raises?

How is it that its been clearly established that non-ionizing radiation poses a threat to human health, and yet we are still living with the same old standards we’ve had for years?

The BioInitiative Report underlines the issue that EMF exposures are going to cost all our societies very dearly if we don’t take action very quickly.

****UPDATE: In January 2013 an update was published to the 2007 BioInitiative Report reviewing the 1800 new studies that have been published in the intervening period Click here for a free download of the 2012 BioInitiative Report.

Thank U!!!!! Finally some concrete scientific evidence i can forward on. Places like utilities and elected officials will take this far more seriously than most inet info. This is useful if we are going to have a chance to survive.

Lloyd, you are in violation of the copyright on four of your postings, where you actually post our content. You cannot do this legally. You can and are encouraged to write about the results, and LINK to http://www.bioinitiative.org

Thanks for taking down the pdfs that you currently have directly posted to your own website.

Hi Cindy, I wasn’t aware I was infringing your copyright by displaying the logo. My apologies. I have removed the logo as requested. If my articles are still infringing your copyright in any other way please let me know and I will correct as necessary. Thank you.

Wherever you have directly posted a pdf for download of one of the BioInitiative Report sections,it instead should link to http://www.bioinitiative.org for the download. For example,

“Click here for a free download of the 2012 BioInitiative Report.”

This is a copyright issue, and needs to be revised in each place you’ve directly posted a pdf of the Report. Thanks for understanding. It’s the only way we csn keep track of the traffic on the site, and gauge the use and volume (to better see the impact of our efforts). Thanks, Lloyd.

Cindy, when I received your email on Wednesday I took down the PDFs and redirected to your website (I sent you an email – perhaps it went in your spam?). So when it says “Click here for a free download of the 2012 BioInitiative Report.” it redirects to the BioInitiative website. I did this on both pages where the download was.
When I received your comment yesterday about the logo I removed the logo from the 3 pages showing the logo.
As far as I can see everything is now in order? If you are not seeing the redirect at your end that could be because you need to clear your cookies.
    Let me know.
Also, can you tell me if there is an update of the BR due to be published?

    Hi Lloyd,

Thanks for making the changes to link to BioInitiative, rather than post our sections on your own website. I appreciate your quick response. About the logo…. it’s not helpful to do a knock-off logo of our BioIntiative image, so can you please remove these new red/blue images
wherever you’ve placed them? Many thanks for this. We are issuing a BioInitiative Working Group comment today or tomorrow (as soon as our webmaster can post it). If you give me a direct email address for you, I can send it.

    Regards,
    Cindy

Hi Cindy, I can’t post my email here for obvious reasons. But I have sent you an email directly to your email address. If you’ve not received it please check your spam folder.

    Llyod,
I have one of those new CornetED88T and watched your video. I have been taking readings in our local train tunnels. I don’t see a direct connection between strength of signal (Watts) and Frequency (Hz). The readings seem to vary. Am I missing somthing? I am not very comfortable with the device just yet.

    Thanks
    Nanette

Because I had to endure man-made hell on earth for several decades I pay attention, and with conscious and subconciouse hypervigilance. After learning about Lloyd’s experiences, I began bought three different electromagnetic testing devices and did a lot of tests around the house and yard.

Now I now were we are getting severly zapped, almost everywhere.

I also made two heavy wire copper wire dowsing rods and discovered geopathing stress lines in and outside. That enlightened me why some of our landscape plants kept doing very poorly of years. They were all growing on such a stress line.

Thank you, Lloyd and all others, for contributing to this subject.

    Hi Lloyd,

Thought you’d like to know we updated the 2012 BioInitiative most recently in May 2019.
See the What’s New section at http://www.bioinitiative.org. Or, you can go directly to download the newly updated Research Summaries.

The Research Summaries now hold hundreds more scientific publication abstracts than in 2012, and the bar graphs included show “effect” vs “no effect” for the studies overall. It is clear the vast majority of published studes show effects of both ELF-EMF and RFR, and the trend continues to demonstrate even stronger evidence for health effects.
