EMFs in Cars – The Dangers & How To Reduce Your Exposure

Posted by Lloyd backup on November 16, 2013 under EMFs and travel, Podcasts & Teleseminars, Protection tips | 54 Comments to Read

In this episode of the ElectricSense podcast, Lloyd and host Kimberly Henrie discuss something that concerns nearly everybody electromagnetic fields (EMFs) in cars and how to minimize your exposure. As Lloyd points out this is a universal issue because nearly everyone uses a car and those that don’t use similar forms of transportation, buses, coaches, trains etc.

A Growing Problem

emfs in carsTune in to hear Lloyd explain that due to the intrinsic nature of motorized transport EMFs have always been present in cars – principally in the form of magnetic fields. However in the 21st Century much of the technology which has improved our driving experience has also contributed to increasing our EMF exposures in cars. Apart from the more obvious culprits like WiFi and Bluetooth installations Lloyd also cites some less known sources of EMF pollution in cars including:

  • RF-ID tags on parts
  • Tire pressure monitors
  • Car alarms
  • Blindspot reversing radar
  • and much more

How To Reduce Your Exposure

If you already own a car with this kind of gadgetry installed, Lloyd explains the steps you can take to minimize your exposures. Lloyd also gives some tips what to look for if you’re wanting to change your vehicle. He explains how to take EMF protection in your car a step further by measuring with an EMF meter – a special EMF meter because cars work on a different electricity supply to our homes.

Lloyd and Kimberly cover an awful lot of information in this 15-minute free podcast. Tune in for some great EMF protection tips and learn how you can make traveling in your car a safer experience.

If you have more questions on this subject at the end of this episode, check out Lloyd’s website for more information or this page www.electricsense.com/emf-protection-ebook-offer/ for details on how to get a copy of Lloyd’s book, “Long Term EMF Protection – Start Feeling Better Today”.

Hi lloyd, what is your opinion on the intake of clay in relation to forms of radiaton in the human body? Otty

  • Lloyd Burrell said,

Clay can be effective at absorbing radiation. The Soviets have been reputedly using French green clay to remove radiation from the Russian population for over 60 years. After Chernobyl, the former Soviet government apparently added French green clay to chocolate bars and gave them the public to help flush residual radiation from their bodies.

And what about electric cars? Sitting on batteries? Yikes!

Dear Lloyd, I am so very grateful to you for all the EMF education you do! I’m not sure how you afford the time….but it surely does help me and is inspiring!

Is there any chance that you might have a presentation / Power Point already prepared for the “general public” ~ that I could use at my church and workplace? for folks who are not EHS and don’t feel it’s relevant to them?

I’ve got EHS, and am also a nurse with a master’s in public health. I have great hopes of doing EMF education full time one day…but right now I’m the mother of a 2 year old and work full-time in one of the only wifi-free facilities in North Carolina, USA. I’m committed to do a presentation for my church next week, but I’m rather overwhelmed at all the material in front of me. Any outlines or Point Points you might have for such a broad audience would be most helpful! gratefully, Mary Anne

  • Lloyd Burrell said,

I’m afraid I don’t have a presentation you could use to convince the general public about this….If you’ve got EHS the best thing you can do is talk about your story, your symptoms….tell it with sincerity….people will relate to you….present this in the light of the studies (notably the BioInitiative Report 2012), of which there are many referenced on this site. And don’t be surprised if people are reluctant to believe you….many people lack the courage to face up to the truth. I wish you well in your endeavor.

  • Rosemarie said,

Thank you Lloyd! I was aware of the problem and have measured emf and rf in my vehicles. I have older models and will hang on to them as the levels are relatively low compared to newer models. I did get higher readings on the floor of the XJS Jaguar that has a cable running back to the trunk where the battery is (unusual indeed). I think putting the new shielding material on the floor that you recommended will help. Please direct me to a source for this product.

  • Lloyd Burrell said,

The material I recommend for magnetic field shielding is called Giron. Measure carefully your cars foot-well/s first then buy enough Giron to fully cover (overlapping as necessary) that area – its best to insert it underneath the carpet. You can buy it from lessemf

  • Pernille de Boer said,

It was good you addressed the emf exposure in cars. Please tell me what the material is that can protect form the magnetic fields in a car and where can I get it in Europe ?
    kind regards

  • Lloyd Burrell said,

    Hi Pernille
See my reply to Rosemarie above – I too live in Europe and I buy from Lessemf.

  • Geri said,

AT&T wants me to switch over to utilizing the newly installed:
Fiber Optic U-Verse Internet and telephone system.
They say that our office will upgrade from our current speed of 3Mx512k to 6Mx768k

Lloyd, do you have information on the difference electromagnetically between our corded phone/internet connection and the Fiber optic U Verse they are speaking of?

    Thanks,
    Geri in California
